For regular admission, here are the basics of what you need to provide: (Refer to the online Academic Calendar for further detail.)
Alternately, you may qualify for regular admission as a transfer student, by presenting a transcript from another postsecondary school with a minimum of nine credits and a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0, or equivalent. What happens if I don’t meet these requirements? If you do not meet the above requirements for regular admission, you may still qualify for probationary admission, home school/unaccredited high school admission, or special admission. (Please contact the Admissions Office to discuss your options.) Under probationary admission you may present a high school diploma with fewer than four grade 12 subjects, or a GED test with an average score of 50 on all five sections and no individual score below 45. Under probationary admission you will be required to complete the course UNIV 100, Becoming a Master Student, in your first term of study and may also be required to complete specific academic upgrading courses in your first year. HOME SCHOOL/ UNACCREDITED HIGH SCHOOL ADMISSION Applicants who have completed high school in a home school setting or through an unaccredited secondary school may be offered provisional admission. Details of a completed high school program must be submitted. In addition, one of the following must be provided and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis: 1. Official transcript of diploma examination scores for prerequisite courses with scores of 60% or higher or 2. GED certificate with an average score of 50 on the five sections, with no individual score below 45 (minimum age requirements for testing differ from one location to another) or 3. ACT official score report with a composite score above the 50 percentile mark or 4. SAT official score report with a minimum 50 percentile ranking in each of the reading, writing, and math sections. Under special admission, you may fall into one of three categories as an unclassified student: 1. You do not meet the academic requirements for regular or probationary admission, but you have received approval from CUC’s Academic VP or Registrar to enrol in one or more courses without pursuing an academic program. 2. You are only one to two classes short of completing your high school diploma, and your principal has given written permission for you to enrol in college courses. 3. You meet the academic requirements for admission, but have chosen to enrol in one or more courses without pursuing an academic program.

If you have completed high school outside of Canada or the US,
Canadian University College cannot assess your transcripts without an
evaluation from IQAS, the International Qualification Assessment Service
of the Government of Alberta, Canada. When you mail your international
transcripts to IQAS, they will provide a report to Canadian University
College that explains the equivalent level of education you would have
received had you studied in Alberta, Canada. The admissions committee will
then make a decision on your application on the basis of the IQAS report.

Any student from outside Canada must apply for a Study Permit through Citizenship and Immigration Canada for their anticipated period of study within Canada. Detailed information can be found on the Citizenship and Immigration Canada website: www.cic.gc.ca. An official acceptance letter is an important document you will need for acquiring this Study Permit. Canadian University College issues this to you after you have fulfilled requirements for both Academic and Financial admission. International students from outside the US must complete the Study Permit application process at their nearest Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) office (embassy/consulate). However US students are not required to complete the process until entering Canada. Although they can complete the process ahead of time at their nearest CIC office, most US students apply for their Study Permit at the port of entry, if they are entering Canada by air, or at the border, if they are driving.
